People Can Fly is one of the leading independent AAA games development studios with an international team of hundreds of talented individuals working from offices located in Poland, UK, US, and Canada, and from all over the world thanks to our remote work programs.

Founded in 2002, we made our mark on the shooter genre with titles such as Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, and Outriders. We are one of the most experienced Unreal Engine studios in the industry and we are expanding it with in-house solutions called PCF Framework.

Our creative teams are currently working on several exciting titles: Gemini is our new project being developed with Square Enix; Maverick is a Triple-A game developed in collaboration with Microsoft Corporation; Bifrost & Victoria are projects we're growing in the self-publishing model. We are also busy working on a VR and undisclosed projects, more information on those to come later.

Job Description
  • Senior HR Business Partner for our leadership team in North America.

  • Executing the global HR Strategy in partnership with the North American Studio Head, focused on developing and retaining our most valuable assets - our people.

  • Support the execution and delivery of the leadership development program.

  • Support & coach internal managers in day-to-day leadership challenges including resolving complex employee relations and work issues.

  • Facilitate workshops on soft skills and running L&D initiatives.

  • Partner with HR team members to analyze and evaluate compensation structures, benefits programs, and incentive plans, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with industry standards.

  • Support the global performance review process to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.

  • Actively participate in the HRBP OKRs to support their successful implementation.

  • Identifying other HR projects, building new HR procedures, processes, tools, and initiatives.

  • Ability to Develop and monitor HR metrics and analytics to drive data-informed decision-making, identify trends, and propose targeted HR interventions to enhance organizational effectiveness.

  • Must be available to meet in person for leadership meetings in Austin or in Ontario when an office is opened.

  • The base salary range ($100K USD - $150K USD). Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of experience in the HR field, with at least 3 years as an HRBP and 1 year minimum at Senior Level.

  • Proven success in HRBP role in the U.S., working with U.S. Employees , along with experience working with Ontario/Canadian employees. 

  • Must be a U.S. Labor law expert.

  • SPHR® or CHRP certification required. 

  • Experience in running HR development programs. 

  • Fluency in English (fluency in French is a plus, but is not mandatory).

  • Caring personality with strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills

  • Excellent ability to prioritize, problem-solve, demonstrate initiative, think and act outside of the box.

  • High work ethic and self-motivation.

  • Proactive, responsible, dynamic attitude and hands-on approach.

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment will be a plus.

  • Passion and interest for the gaming industry and games is required.
