AP Literature Teacher

We are a dynamic international education firm dedicated to supporting students from over 30 countries as they transition to U.S. schools. We are seeking a part-time AP Literature Teacher to join our team.

We are looking for experienced educators who are passionate about guiding high school students in understanding literary concepts and exploring diverse texts. Our teachers may facilitate both private and group classes.

This is a part-time, hourly role, fully remote, with no travel required. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with certifications and experience.

About the Course:

AP Literature offers students a deep dive into the analysis of literary works, emphasizing critical thinking and interpretation. Students will engage with a variety of texts, exploring themes, styles, and historical contexts while developing their own analytical voices.

Key Responsibilities:

Connect literary themes and techniques to contemporary issues, helping students see the relevance of literature in their lives.
Facilitate discussions that enhance understanding and interpretation of texts, encouraging students to express their insights and draw connections.
Analyze literary works and critical essays with students, fostering a culture of critical thinking and discussion about authors' intentions and the implications of their narratives.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
AP certification or equivalent experience in teaching AP English courses.
At least 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in an international or virtual school setting.
Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
