Events Executive

Location: UK flexible (in person attendance expected in London office every few months)

Hours: 35 per week

Contract Type: Fixed term for 12 months

Salary: £28,699 - £32,069 per annum based on 35 hours per week

Do you have a strong passion for planning fundraising events? Do you know how to project manage fundraising events and how to increase income and supporter engagement?

Fundraising is the building block of the Red Cross, without it there'd be no Emergency First Aid, no Refugee Support, and no Disaster Relief. Our team share the same goal - to spread the power of kindness and help those in greatest need.

Our fundraising and marketing teams are always looking to identify and pursue opportunities, expanding our events brand, crafting continuous supporter experiences for engaging participants, and providing them with additional avenues to enhance their involvement with our cause.

What does a day in the life of an Events Executive involve?

  • Assuming control of your events and proactively updating them with new insights and learnings.
  • Supporting participants' fundraising efforts and inspiring them to fundraise for the Red Cross.
  • Being involved in risk-assessment, pre-event planning, management of the event budget, marketing, backing event participants, on the day logistics and plans, as well as event follow-up and evaluation.

Although this role offers flexibility for the location, there is an expectation for you to spend time in our London office throughout the year for meetings and planning days.

What does it take to be a successful Events Executive?

  • Possessing an excellent grasp of Google Analytics, digital marketing user journeys and CRM platforms, particularly SalesForce.
  • Outstanding oral, writing, and copy-editing abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to use data analysis for developing events and maximising fundraising.
  • Experience delivering virtual events and ways to maximise fundraising.
  • Experience of liaising and recruitment of volunteers for assisting with events would be advantageous.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills for ensuring projects are delivered on time.
