Job description

Paraplanner

Hybrid working - 1 day per week of office attendance from any of our Southwest office bases (Bristol, Plymouth, Salisbury), blended with home working

Remote working considered for the right candidate

Basic salary up to £47,500 DOE

The role…


Our Paraplanners are highly valued within Succession and are integral to our business, providing vital support to our Financial Planners and ensuring a positive experience for our clients. Our Paraplanners play a key role within our advisory service by reviewing, analysing and preparing compliant recommendations for our clients, enabling our Wealth Planners to maintain and develop a portfolio of high net worth clients.


As such, we expect our paraplanners to be able to research and prepare excellent suitability reports that are in accordance with our investment philosophy and client values.


Key aspects of the role will include:


  • Answering process queries and providing day-to-day support for the Wealth Planners.
  • Prepare recommendations covering all advice scenarios.
  • Undertake research and analysis of suitable products in line with the Financial Planner’s recommendations.
  • Utilise agreed research tools for technical and tax calculations.


To be successful in the role you will need:


  • A minimum of 2 years Paraplanning experience
  • To be qualified to Level 4 or above.
  • Have a detailed knowledge of pensions, investments and estate planning.
  • Be articulate in both verbal and written communication.
