Job Description
  • Achieve Sales Growth Targets: Drive revenue growth for all assigned Industrial Hydraulics (IH) Top Priority Customers (TPCs) through strategic account management and proactive selling.
  • New Business Development: Actively pursue new business by identifying and acquiring Discovery Accounts each year, contributing to the company’s ongoing growth initiatives.
  • Product / Application Know how: Provide local, detailed product and application support to both existing and potential accounts. Effectively communicate the unique differentiators of Bosch Rexroth's Industrial Hydraulics solutions, positioning our products as superior to competitors in terms of technology, performance, and sustainability.
  • Customer Understanding: Develop a detailed understanding of APR customers and market requirements to customize solutions that meet their unique needs and drive value.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with external customers, distribution partners, and Bosch Rexroth colleagues to foster collaboration and secure long-term success.
  • CRM Utilization: Utilize CRM systems consistently and effectively to track sales opportunities, manage customer data, and ensure smooth coordination of sales activities with regional, divisional, and management teams.
  • Pricing Strategy: Develop tailored pricing strategies for each account, balancing strategic objectives with competitive dynamics to drive profitability and account growth.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve customer and distributor issues or conflicts, engaging with management when necessary, to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other essential and peripheral duties as assigned to support the overall success of the sales team and contribute to the company’s growth objectives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or in a relevant field with 4 years of sales experience, OR Associate’s Degree in a technical field with 5+ years of relevant hydraulic sales experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in either regional OEM sales, or in a key Market Segment related to industrial hydraulics
  • Must reside in Area of Primary Responsibility (Northeast Region)
  • Knowledge of the Bosch Rexroth Hydraulics product line is preferred, as well as the machine applications encountered in, and the technical solutions provided to key Market Segments.
  • Travel required – approximately 50% annually (subject to change)
  • Ability to develop customer base and generate sales to accommodate campus goals 
  • Strong negotiating, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills 
  • Capable of conducting technical and sales presentations to key clients
  • Necessary time management skills to handle a consistently high level of sales activity – including a full schedule of outside sales calls coupled with numerous follow up requirements.
