Front End Developer

Overview:

Nortal is seeking a skilled Front-End Developer with 3+ years of experience in software development, covering the full lifecycle from concept to production. We are looking for someone with strong Cloud Platform development and testing expertise, a deep understanding of design patterns, and a knack for best practices. As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for independently delivering project features, troubleshooting, and collaborating closely with Cloud Developers and Architects. Effective communication and the ability to engage with clients in-person are key to your success in this role.

Work remotely or on-site in Mexico with occasional in-person requirements.

Development & Coding

• Proficient in at least one programming language, with knowledge of major frameworks and design patterns.
• Implement features on client projects and apply different programming methodologies (functional, OOP, imperative, declarative).

Teaming & Consulting

• Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and in person.
• Maintain a professional, positive, and collaborative attitude in client-facing situations.
• Work effectively within Agile frameworks, participating in scrums and planning.
• Mentor team members and promote best practices.

Quality & Testing

• Write and include unit tests in project estimates.
• Troubleshoot systems, manage performance, and conduct integration tests.
• Maintain and improve code quality standards, reviewing and mentoring others on best practices.

Solution Design

• Identify and implement technical solutions.
• Suggest improvements and adopt new tools or frameworks.
• Understand and analyze end-to-end interactions in distributed systems.

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Front-End development.
• Strong CSS and modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Illustrator.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, Python.
• Experience with REST APIs, CI/CD, and AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3)
