Job Title: Vice President of Philanthropy 

Location – Remote (European Union)

Summary

The Vice President of Development will provide leadership for Constructor Group’s philanthropic initiatives, activities, and events. This will include strategic planning, management, execution, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The primary goal of this role is to maximize Constructor Group's fundraising efforts through exploring and understanding the psychology of giving. 

Responsibilities 

Fundraising and Communication: 

  • Collaborating with campaign leadership teams and academic and research colleagues to develop new philanthropic fundraising opportunities 
  • Develop and structure comprehensive sponsorship packages. 
  • Establishing and chairing the internal campaign committees and external campaign boards to ensure internal readiness and support of the Constructor Group fundraising initiatives 
  • Setting annual income projections and lead fundraising input, seeking to provide an annual gross and net increase in available funds 
  • Managing, planing, budgeting, testing and implementing approved fundraising strategies to reach or exceed targets 
  • Encouraging the development of stable, high value relationships with the donor support base, corporate and individual major donors, cultivating ethical and creative approaches to potential and existing supporters 
  • Promoting the Constructor Group fundraising campaign goals and objectives 

Marketing: 

  • Help to define the narrative: what are donors donating for, how to donate, how to monitor, what is the benefits of donating, why are Constructor Knowledge and Constructor Tech so important for the world? 
  • Events marketing, social media, viral, fund-raisers, PR around the product we created. Help leverage for promoting our programs to student & research funding 

Leadership & Management: 

  • Provide leadership to the Fundraising and Campaign Team, supporting a motivational and collaborative environment where people are challenged, developed, encouraged, and empowered to achieve outstanding results 
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, consistent quality of implementation, communications, fundraising, and systems recommending timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals 
  • Inspire, motivate, and challenge staff through active, ongoing mentorship and training, fostering an environment that supports new ideas and innovative approaches to giving 
  • Lead, coach, develop, and retain the organization’s high performance management team and staff, supporting a collaborative environment where people are developed, encouraged, and empowered to achieve outstanding results 
  • Organize effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components 

Planning & New Business Development: 

  • Build partnerships in new markets, establish relationships with the funders and community leaders, experts and professionals 
  • Perform market research of donors’ motivation and behavior when supporting education, science, and social care services in a new environment 
Qualifications

The successful candidate will: 

  • Be willing and able to travel internationally as needed from time to time 
  • 5+ years of experience in fundraising/philanthropy for universities, foundations or other non-profit organizations In Europe or globally, with a minimum of one year in a management position 
  • Experience in creating appealing cases for support and coordinating that narrative between internal stakeholders 
  • Track record of successfully leading a fundraising campaign resulting in 1M+ donations and/or experience in cultivating, soliciting and acquiring major gifts from individuals, corporations, foundations and others 
  • Understanding of non-profit marketing and knowledge of digital marketing tools 
  • Project and people management skills 
  • Experience with automation of fundraising activities.
