Excellent opportunity within a highly-respected law firm whose diverse clientele consists of leading international innovators, individual investors, start-up companies, and universities. Here, you will prepare and prosecute of patent applications and have responsibilities pertaining to a range of patent protection issues (e.g., patentability and clearance opinions, risk assessment analyses, patent estate management, licensing, PTAB work) while working closely with clients, inventors, and other firm attorneys.

Attorneys and agents at this firm operate under high quality standards, which has resulted in obtaining clients who value attorneys and agents who can write polished, well-written patent applications while also grasping the commercial needs. This firm has an excellent distribution of clients, thus, you will have the ability to deal with reasonable variety, dictated by your technical capabilities.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of solid patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • Must have a state bar and be licensed to practice before the USPTO.
  • A minimum of B.S. chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or petroleum engineering, with a preference for someone with an M.S or PhD. Prior applicable research or engineering experience would also be valued.
