Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Locum Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at the Highfield Centre in Wallasey, Birkenhead. This role focuses on conducting updated assessments for children with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and involves updating care plans accordingly.

What your responsibilities will be for this Speech and Language Therapy role?

As a Band 6/7 Band 6/7 Locum Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist you will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive assessments for children with EHCPs to ensure their speech and language therapy needs are accurately documented and addressed. Your primary tasks will include conducting face-to-face assessments, updating existing assessments, and revising care plans to reflect current needs and therapeutic goals. While this position is primarily focused on assessment and care planning, rather than direct intervention, you may need to cover various clinical areas across Children's Speech and Language Therapy as required. The role is likely to involve working face-to-face with children and families, but there may be an option for remote work, subject to agreement. Flexibility and a broad understanding of paediatric speech and language therapy will be essential to effectively cover diverse clinical areas.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Experience working with paediatric caseloads, ideally with EHCPs
  • Strong skills in assessment and care planning
  • Ability to work face-to-face with children and families
  • Flexibility to cover various clinical areas
  • Option for remote working to be agreed upon
  • HCPC Registered
