Accounts Payable Manager

In this hands-on, detail driven role, you will lead our Accounts Payable team and serve in a hands-on accounts payable processing part of the team. This role will train and supervise a team in the accurate and timely processing of all expense and payments transactions with appropriate supporting documentation.  The Accounts Payable Manager will recommend process improvements to increase business efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

• Responsible for the oversight of the accounts payable department, which includes timely and accurate payment of vendors and resolution of issues
• Supervise high volume of transactions handling full cycle accounts payable for multiple companies and sites in a fast-paced environment
• Oversees monthly AP checklists are completed to ensure all quality controls are maintained
• Oversees monthly reconciliation of payable general ledger accounts and directs team members regarding resolution of outstanding items
• Ensuring invoices and disbursements are processed accurately and timely
• Ensuring the monthly accounts payable close is completed timely and accurately
• Train, coach and supervise a team of Accounts Payable Specialist in the completion of daily assignments
• Identifies account payable risk and makes recommendations to make the process more efficient
• Preparation of the 1099-s and maintaining the vendor W9 files
• Supports all internal and external reviews/audit requests pertaining to Accounts Payable.

• Responsible for special projects assigned by management.

• Accounts Payable with 7+ years of experience
• AAS degree in Accounting preferred
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Knowledge of Excel required
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Experience with multi-company entities and inter-company reconciliations
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues effectively
• Demonstrates autonomy, organization, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities
• Ability to analyze information, identify and solve problems
• Attention to detail and well-developed time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is preferred
