Job Description

The Time & Attendance Analyst is an exciting opportunity supporting centralized timekeeping activities in the US. This position will be responsible for the successful evaluation, implementation, and execution of time activities in accordance with Emerson and legislative time capture and pay practices and policies. This individual will develop an understanding of business performance drivers and can influence and support business delivery by providing analytical insights to key collaborators enabling data-driven decisions that optimize business operations.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Process owner for all US time & attendance activities; responsible for the successful evaluation, creation, implementation, and execution of time activities in accordance with Emerson and legislative time capture and pay practices and policies
  • Drive standardization, automation, and improvement for process and system optimization in time & attendance activities
  • Continually review operating procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Liaison on new labor regulations to ensure compliance in time processes & labor reporting
  • Support Employee Relations, Site HR Partner(s), and Legal during union negotiations and contract renewals by assisting site with requested data, data analysis, and recommendations for process (and system) feasibility for time & attendance
  • Use data driven insights to provide expertise regarding the Time & Attendance function measuring and acting on KPIs; provide to key partners which will enable data-driven decision-making
  • Develop an understanding of business performance drivers. Assist sites in the development of tools to analyze time & pay historical data for identifying, analyzing, and driving cost savings opportunities with time & labor
  • Get results on special projects, initiatives, and goals in an agile environment
  • Responsible for ensuring SLAs are met on inquiries from our employees and managers
  • Liaison with business in partnership with IT on system issues and enhancement requests
  • Timely troubleshoot & resolve time data issues in the payroll process & facilitate addressing with payroll & business partner teams
  • Facilitate root cause analysis & oversee process gap addressing with a focus on reducing issues & errors in payroll processing related to time data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of time & attendance inputs, ensure process adherence of inputs into time & labor system and develop and supervise time review/audit processes
  • Contact for audit and labor inquiries for time data related to the non-exempt workforce
  • Supervise pay and labor legislation to ensure time-keeping activities are in compliance
  • Promote an internal customer service orientation through effective policy administration, timely responsiveness to customer needs and appropriate communication
  • Maintain expertise in the software tools/integrations that are used to manage and maintain accurate data processing
  • Support 3rd party vendor partners.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience, preferably in a high volume, national environment to include an understanding of labor policies and time-keeping processes
  • Experience with UKG (Kronos) Dimensions
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data privacy regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time-keeping activities in support of labor policies and legislation
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience with Oracle applications would be preferred
  • Experience with time & attendance implementations preferred

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $54,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
