ACRUX Search are on a mission to find an experienced Finance and Business Principal to join one of our unique clients who takes an unconventional approach to solving a problem for large corporations throughout the globe. The core function of this role is to lead the commercial, financial, governance and support functions for the business. Reporting to the Managing Director this is a senior role within the business requiring a high level of capability and integrity. A key focus of the role will be to improve and implement systems and processes which efficiently and effectively facilitate global transactions, engage with new clients and undertake new projects locally and abroad. The role will also collaborate with the sales and delivery teams in developing new opportunities to deliver value to our clients, improve stakeholder reporting and contribute to the overall business performance. You will be exposed to doing business in different regions worldwide, solve unique problems, gain exposure to many different industries, and be guaranteed a continual learning and development curve.

For those that are frustrated by bureaucratical or slow-moving corporations where roles and innovation are often restrained, this role will be of keen interest.


Key functions will include, but not limited to:
  • Be an integral member of a small high performing team
  • Leading commercial and finance functions for the business
  • Support tenders and commercial proposals
  • Improving business systems and processes, including external stakeholder reporting
  • As a key member of the executive team, you will have the opportunity to actively support the broader business and gain exposure to the different business functions and teams
  • Manage commercial risks associated with asset transactions
  • Contribute to the overall business strategy and development plans


Requirements

Essential

  • Previous experience in a finance or commercial role
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Law, or related field
  • Confidence to meet and engage with external parties and stakeholders
  • Track record of implementation
  • Understanding of contracts and commercial risk
  • High level of integrity and awareness (EQ)
  • Desire to create change, eliminate resource waste, deliver sustainable solutions and enable new business models
  • Entrepreneurial minded individual who can demonstrate 2nd and 3rd order thinking with a hunger for innovation
  • Interest in international business and developing new business opportunities in a global marketplace
  • Successful track record of implementation and improvement of business systems, processes and reporting.
  • Curiosity and self-motivation to learn and develop
  • Able to demonstrate high quality execution and tangible outcomes in previous roles

Desirable

  • International business experience
  • Drive to create sustainable business outcomes
  • Previous experience in heavy industry, construction, or agriculture
  • Previous corporate experience
