We are seeking an Associate Manager, People Planning to join our Workforce Analytics & Planning team based out of our headquarters in Richmond, VA. We are open to remote work arrangements anywhere in the US.

This role will not only support the execution of our talent and workforce planning initiatives but also influence the broader organizational direction. Blending operational competence and analytical depth with a strategic outlook, the successful candidate will play a significant role in shaping our workforce to meet current and future business needs and ensuring alignment with our strategic enterprise initiatives. Additionally, the role allows for remote work flexibility, with occasional visits to our Richmond, VA headquarters and other company sites as needed for collaborative projects and strategic meetings.

What you will be doing:

  • Work in partnership with various HR Centers of Excellence, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure current and future talent needs are aligned with strategic enterprise goals.
  • Develop and continuously improve people planning tools, databases, policies and practices, focusing on both immediate needs and long-term talent strategies, and guaranteeing high data integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Apply data analytics and complex models to synthesize data and generate insights and recommendations to advise talent decision-making and planning.
  • Manage and continuously improve the skills-informed planning framework to track and categorize current and future skill sets within the organization, ensuring it remains adaptable to evolving business and industry landscapes.
  • Aid in the implementation of new workforce planning strategies, facilitating stakeholder engagement and successful practice adoption.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics, adapting strategies based on analytical findings to optimize workforce planning outcomes.
  • Other duties as assigned.


We want you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, Statistics, Math, Economics, Engineering, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in financial planning, business analytics, workforce planning, or HR analytics. Proven experience in implementing and leading skills-based planning initiatives a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with leveraging and integrating external talent intelligence to inform workforce planning practices.
  • Proficient with HR technology platforms and analytical tools; knowledge of SQL, Excel, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
  • Demonstrate analytical excellence with the ability to construct and handle complex models and deliver insightful analytics for strategic planning. Experience with HR metrics and data analytics a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with and influence team members across the organization.
  • Be flexible and innovative, capable of navigating a dynamic industry landscape and driving continuous improvement in workforce planning practices.
  • Shown ability to lead projects and initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Total Rewards

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $97,900.00 - $142,000.00 / annually.
