About Sakshi


A pioneer in working for Gender Equality & Responsible Sexuality in India, Sakshi is a rights based, capacity-building organization founded in 1992. It was the force behind two landmark PILs – ‘Vishaka Vs. State of Rajasthan’ & ‘Sakshi Vs. Union of India,’ which paved the way for several gender-based laws including POCSO 2012 and POSH 2013.

Sakshi aims to empower youth, women, children, and marginalized groups with a focus on equality and transformative justice by developing life skills for dialogue, negotiation, conflict resolution and transformational leadership through training/workshops, communication and social arts for change.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for Technical Writing to fit the needs of the programmatic engagements of Sakshi. You will oversee the writing production to ensure the writing is completed in a timely manner. You will also use your knowledge of writing to accomplish these responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Programme Concepts and Proposals: The candidate shall be responsible for developing programme concepts as per the brief. The candidate shall also be responsible for writing proposals based on the RFPs.

  • Strategy Documents: The candidate shall be responsible for drawing strategic documents such as the vision document, theory of change, and other documents that are critical for creating visibility of the programmatic undertakings of the organization.

  • RMF: The candidate shall be responsible for expanding the Results Measurement Framework based on the Theory of Change.

  • Reports : The candidate shall be responsible for making a detailed account for the programmatic engagements and events. The candidate shall be working on the quarterly reports, annual reports and reports for key events.

  • Module Development: The candidate shall be responsible for research and assisting the development of IEC material for training workshops focusing on Prevention of Gender Based Violence, Team Building and Strengthening.



Requirements

Basic/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree / Bachelor's degree in Gender Studies, Women’s Studies, Sociology.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a meticulous eye for detail

  • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to gather gender-based information from multiple sources

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Passion for writing and creating compelling content that resonates with the target audience.
