Fisher Phillips is an international labor and employment law firm, and we are hiring for an experienced Technical Training & Media Specialist for our Atlanta, GA or Irvine, CA offices. In this role, The Technical Training & Media Specialist creates and coordinates technical training programs and a variety of IT communications and documentation (brochures, newsletters, user guides, etc.) The Technical Trainer will utilize communications and training to boost user adoption during IT product and technology deployments.

Video and graphic editing skills, and an eye for aesthetics, are requirements for this position, and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, are an absolute must. Experience with technology rollouts and change management is a big plus, as is experience with marketing/productizing technology solutions. **

Position Responsibilities**

  • Develop the IT brand and oversee IT communications such as the monthly Technology News, notifications, and our departmental intranet pages.
  • Support the Firm’s IT Technical Training Program by monitoring, improving, and creating user documentation such as job aids, user guides, process documents, presentations, infographics and other creative visuals, and any other written forms of IT-related training and/or communications.
  • Create communication and training plans for technology initiatives and rollouts.
  • Apply special skills in monitoring, improving, and motivating change management and training related to process and workflow improvements.
  • Productize IT solutions so they gain better brand identity, user understanding, and adoption.
  • Develop and deliver instructor-led training programs for new and existing IT solutions.

Requirements

  • Related degree and/or 3+ years’ experience delivering training, user guides, video, and/or other learning products to professionals in a corporate setting.
  • Skilled with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar.
  • Skilled with Camtasia or similar.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office suite and related applications.

Any of the following are not required but are considered a “plus”

  • Experience with the change management aspects of product rollouts (e.g. ADKAR).
  • Formal training in adult learning, instructional design, or UI/UX
  • Ability to create complex training modules with if/then and skip logic using a product such as Articulate StoryLine.
  • Marketing and/or Project Management background.
  • Experience using Jira.
  • Experience working in a law or professional services firm.
  • Industry-recognized training and certifications.

WORK CONDITIONS

This position is hybrid, meaning it is a mix of office and remote days.

Travel may be required up to 1-2 days per month. **

_The salary rate range for this position $80,000 - $95,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
