We are looking for an experienced Director of ESports to oversee our organization’s ongoing ESports operations across multiple games and platforms and maintain knowledge of the overall industry to drive the company into the forefront of this emerging industry.
The Director of eSports provides overall management, guidance and strategy development for the Esports program. In addition, they will help create and maintain sponsorship opportunities under the Direction of the Chief Executive Officer and/or Sponsorship Department, and oversee fundraising efforts for the entire ESports program.
They will also be responsible for maintaining our tracking system and ensuring all team managers are keeping their teams up to date; they will be responsible for maintaining overall knowledge of the ESports community and it’s health; for registering each team for leagues and ensuring participation is maintained to our standard; working with leadership in making budgeting decisions and others.
What you will be doing:
- Deliver and further develop the Threat Level Gaming ESports strategy. Be seen as the figurehead of ESports for Threat Level Gaming and be a globally recognized leader in this ESports industry.
- Be a key driver in development of regulation of Threat Level Gaming with the ESports industry.
- Ensure strong and productive relationships with the ESports sector and ancillary businesses.
- Through a global network, raise awareness of the Threat Level Gaming, its ESports initiative and gain involvement of key businesses in the industry.
- Identify challenges facing ESports businesses, identify the root cause of the problem and propose effective strategies to resolve them.
- Develop strategies to encourage the growth of Threat Level Gaming ESports businesses.
- Develop strategies to attract new ESports businesses to establish a presence for Threat Level Gaming.
- Work alongside the marketing team to feed into the development of strategies to raise awareness of Threat Level Gaming’s ESports sector.
- Enhance, where possible Threat Level Gaming’s competitive ESports proposition.
- Identify and facilitate opening of new geographic and related sector markets.
Requirements:
- Genuine knowledge of business development and leading business development teams;
- Experience of strategy development and strategy execution;
- Proven Program/Project Management skills;
- The ability to problem solve and present multiple achievable solutions using businesses analysis techniques;
- High energy, proactive and positive mindset.
- Highly organized;
- Highly experienced in ESports, with a detailed understanding of the core markets and good understanding of the ancillary markets and how they interact.
- Personal confidence with good interpersonal skills;
- An excellent team player;
- An ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing;
- An understanding and/or experience of commercial business;
- A strong customer service ethic;

- Basic knowledge of promotional techniques;
