Role Overview
Learner Success Coaches are responsible for maximising retention and ensuring apprentice progress to target by monitoring learner progress, conducting routine progress review every 10 -12 weeks and providing coaching support sessions as required for each learner.
You are an experienced Education Coach/Mentor, with excellent administrative and communication skills, an eye for detail and a sound respect for ensuring compliant practices. You’ll enjoy overseeing a busy schedule of learner meetings and be able to quickly build rapport with learners and line managers from a variety of sectors and disciplines. You’ll enjoy maintaining key reporting by accurately updating learner LMS and learning platforms.
You’re conscientious and committed to ensuring that learner’s needs are at the forefront. You’ll be quick to determine and escalate any risk or issues relating to progress across components to your Line Manager and that you complete written feedback following learner sessions via the learner LMS platform, using the guided form capture.
You will ensure that internal reporting is updated to ensure that both employers and Data Mentors are kept up to date with learner progress. Wherever progress to set milestones is not met you will address via progress review actions and objectives set.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive progression and ensure OTJ and learning plan progress is delivered to plan
- Support learners to complete Functional Skills by month 6
- Engage with the employer and learners at a minimum every quarter, delivering Progress Reviews, reviewing objectives set and defining plans to reinstate progress where appropriate
- Recording and reporting on activity on the E-portfolio system Aptem
- Escalate any risk factors with line manager and deliver actions defined
- Embed Maths and English Functional skills into the learner sessions
- Deliver and embed topics relating to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent, Equal Opportunities and other related Acts. Ensuring a regional approach and contextualisation
- Ensure best practices and be aware of Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities and related Acts
Candidate Specification:
- Experience within Apprenticeships in a role for a minimum of 1 year or any other relevant industry experience is essential
- Attention to detail

- Proficient in the use of Excel, MI reporting tools & learner LMS systems
