Job description

cultivate began out of a desire to contribute to the start-up ecosystem by providing a service that fills the void left by others; an approachable fit-for-purpose solution for founders and leaders in the tech sector. Using innovative and collaborative approaches, we help emerging tech companies address hiring challenges and secure the best talent. And with an intimate appreciation that all companies have varying degrees of HR needs, cultivate offers a scalable and strategic approach to human resources.

The opportunity:
Our client is a Singapore-based growth-stage Fintech company with a growing presence across South East Asia. The company has a unified payment solution that offers an all-in-one management platform that simplifies spending for businesses. As a critical member of the Financial Network Partnership team, you partner with key financial institutions in your country to develop deep commercial and brand partnerships. You ensure that the product and service integrate with the critical applications and systems used in the market.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and building deep relationships with banks and other key financial institutions.
  • Planning and executing a strategy to deepen relationships with new partners.
  • Optimising existing product offerings and launching new ones.
  • Negotiating commercial and contract terms when developing joint business plans.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders such as legal, finance, and product to craft thoughtful strategies for engaging and partnering with networks.
  • Educating key partner contacts about value proposition and executing commercial deals that support the company's strategic objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, strategy, business development, and partnership management.
  • Experience and knowledge in payments.
  • Experience leading large, complex, and unique commercial negotiations from end to end and identifying opportunities through deal execution.
  • A proven track record of leading high-performing teams in a product-focused environment with significant internal and external dependencies.
  • The ability to navigate and build commercial relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent written and spoken English.
