Europe's energy transition is among the greatest challenges and its goal is to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 at the latest. The Netherlands and Germany have therefore set themselves ambitious goals to expand offshore wind energy: as early as 2030, Germany and the Netherlands want to reach a capacity of 30 and 22.2 Gigawatts, respectively. Energy from offshore wind farms in the European powerhouse North Sea will play a crucial role. This client guarantees that this energy will reach the mainland - and in the most environmentally friendly way possible. That is why they have developed the 2GW program with a unique transnational approach. And thus increase the pace and efficiency of the energy transition.
Large Projects Netherlands (LPN):
Large Projects Netherlands (LPN) has a rapidly growing portfolio of large projects that are essential to facilitate the energy transition. In order to be ready as a powerful unit for their future tasks, LPN are engaged in a complex transformation. This client is welcoming many new colleagues and simultaneously increasing their ability to realize all these projects based on the "change story" LPNext. To facilitate this, a new organizational structure was put in place in early 2022. LPN is responsible for preparing and realizing capacity increases and expansions of the new high-voltage connections in the Netherlands with a project portfolio of more than 3 billion. Strong growth of the project portfolio is expected in the coming years.
