Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced DeltaV Batch Engineer to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in designing, commissioning,
and maintaining DeltaV DCS Batch projects. This role requires expertise in DeltaV Live, including design from P&ID, process narration, and the breakdown of devices. A strong understanding of Batch S88 Standards and proficiency in the configuration and testing of control modules, equipment modules, phases, recipes, and units within the DeltaV system is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and commissioning of DeltaV DCS Batch projects in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize DeltaV Live for designing control systems directly from P&ID diagrams, ensuring seamless integration with the overall process design.
- Provide process narration and develop control strategies for various pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Configure and test Control Modules (CM), Equipment Modules (EM), Phases, Recipes, and Units to meet the specific needs of each batch process.
- Perform detailed testing, validation, and troubleshooting of control system components to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Manage the bulk editing of databases for import and export of data, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems.
- Streamline database operations and configurations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, including Batch S88 Standards, and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain thorough documentation of system designs, configurations, testing, and commissioning processes for compliance and audit purposes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, validation engineers, and quality assurance teams, to ensure project success.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and operators on DeltaV systems and batch processes.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and system improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in DeltaV technology and industry trends to drive innovation within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience working with DeltaV Batch systems in the pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of DeltaV Live, including design from P&ID, process narration, and breakdown of devices.
- Strong understanding of Batch S88 Standards and their application in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Proficiency in configuring and testing Control Modules (CM), Equipment Modules (EM), Phases, Recipes, and Units within the DeltaV system.
- Experience with bulk editing of databases for import and export, as well as data management best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance in all aspects of work.
