Equitable is looking for a dynamic and results driving Voluntary Benefits Sales Executive to support Large Cases in our Employee Benefits group within the Southeast Region which includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama. The VB Large Case Sales Executive will work in conjunction with regional and national distribution leadership to drive prospect activity and sales working remotely from your home office with 50% to 75% travel within your territory. **

Key Job Responsibilities**

  • Drive voluntary benefits prospect activity and sales in the large case space (1000+ EE’s), specifically generating proposals for Group Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity, and Permanent Life + LTC.
  • Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with brokerage firms/consulting houses and general agencies.
  • Provide consultative analysis and recommendations to distribution channel partners and prospective clients.
  • Meet or exceed assigned premium, proposal activity, and meeting targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Coordinate and track client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences.
  • Remain current on company offerings and industry trends through market research, business area meetings, conferences, and industry events.

The base salary for this position is $80,000. This role is eligible for variable compensation.

Required Qualifications**

  • 5+ years of documented success in sales within the Group Insurance (Employee Benefits) industry
  • Strong understanding of Voluntary Group Benefits products (i.e., Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Life) as well as the services and supports that are needed to effectively compete in the voluntary large case space
  • Understanding of the Benefits Admin landscape and the nuances associated with administering voluntary benefits
  • Life and Health Insurance licenses for State of residence and all non-resident State licenses for assigned territories

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of documented success selling voluntary products
  • Hands on sales experience within Southeast region of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A self-motivated, driven individual who is goal-oriented and able to take ownership of assigned territory to develop strong, long-term relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trust and credibility easily and quickly
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with Market Service Reps, Account Managers, Underwriting, Product, and other home office personnel
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% as needed to support sales within assigned territories
