Senior Sourcing Consultant (Internal Role)

Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Engagement Type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with AU business hours (approx. 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration. However, as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in managing your time.
Retainer Fee: Up to $1500 AUD / month

Who We Are

At Hunt St., we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by Hunt St. as part of our internal recruitment team, working closely with leadership and fellow recruiters to deliver high-quality hiring outcomes for our clients.

This is a 100% remote role, allowing you to work from home while collaborating with a fast-paced, high-performing, and highly collaborative team.

Role Overview:

The Senior Sourcing Specialist is a dedicated, pipeline-focused role within the Talent Acquisition team, designed to strengthen our ability to identify and engage high-quality candidates, particularly for hard-to-fill, niche, and aging recruitment projects. This role operates as the engine behind candidate generation, working proactively to build robust talent pools that give recruiters a consistent and qualified shortlist to draw from.

By embedding a specialist sourcing function into our recruitment operations, this role directly addresses sourcing bottlenecks, reduces time-to-shortlist, and enables the broader recruitment team to concentrate on interviews, client management, and placements. The Senior Sourcing Specialist will be instrumental in shaping a more structured, data-informed, and proactive hiring approach, ultimately improving placement rates and candidate experience across the organization.

Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Proactively source both passive and active candidates across multiple platforms including LinkedIn, job boards, social media, professional networks, and niche communities.
  • Build and maintain dedicated pipelines for hard-to-fill, high-priority, and aging recruitment projects to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates.
  • Execute targeted outbound sourcing campaigns tailored to specific role requirements, industries, and candidate personas.
  • Conduct market mapping and talent research to identify candidate-rich channels and benchmark competitor hiring activity.

Talent Pool Management

  • Maintain active and organized talent pools, ensuring candidates are appropriately segmented by role type, skillset, and availability.
  • Regularly engage and nurture candidate relationships to sustain interest and pipeline readiness for current and future openings.
  • Keep all candidate records accurately updated within the ATS (Workable), ensuring data integrity and seamless recruiter handoffs.

Recruiter Collaboration & Reporting

  • Coordinate closely with recruiters and recruitment manager to align sourcing priorities with open requisitions and hiring timelines.
  • Provide regular updates on sourcing progress, pipeline metrics, and candidate activity through structured reporting tools.
  • Share sourcing insights, market intelligence, and candidate feedback to continuously refine recruitment strategies.
  • Flag sourcing challenges or role ambiguities early and collaborate on solutions to prevent aging and pipeline stagnation.

Requirements

Experience & Technical Skills

  • Minimum 2–5 years of proven sourcing or recruitment experience, ideally within a high-volume or agency recruitment environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques for targeted candidate identification.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing through multiple channels including job boards, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, and professional communities.
  • Track record of successfully filling niche, specialized, or difficult roles through creative and persistent sourcing strategies.
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms, experience with Workable is strongly preferred.

Core Competencies

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple sourcing campaigns and pipelines simultaneously.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills for engaging candidates and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate, up-to-date candidate records.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently while staying aligned with team priorities.
  • Analytical mindset, able to interpret sourcing data, identify trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced recruitment environment with shifting priorities.

Expected Outcomes

By establishing a dedicated sourcing function, the organization expects to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Significant improvement in sourcing efficiency, reducing the time from requisition to qualified candidate shortlist.
  • A measurable reduction in aging and stalled recruitment projects by ensuring consistent pipeline activity.
  • Higher quality candidate leads entering the recruitment process, resulting in stronger placements and better fit.
  • Stronger, continuously maintained active talent pools that reduce reliance on reactive sourcing.
  • Improved overall hiring turnaround times and placement success rates across all aging, niche and hard to fill roles.
  • This role has been designed to complement existing recruitment processes. Candidates will be assessed not only on technical sourcing skills but also on their ability to collaborate, report consistently, and adapt sourcing strategies based on data and recruiter feedback. The right candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely passionate about finding the right people, not just filling a quota.
