Mate/engineer - Oyster 885

A rare opportunity to join a world-class Oyster 885 preparing for an ambitious Southern Ocean expedition.

Currently based in Puerto Montt, Chile, the yacht will depart in late July to explore Patagonia, Cape Horn, Antarctica, South Georgia, the Falklands and Argentinian Patagonia.

This is a true dual-role position, suited to someone confident both offshore sailing and onboard engineering in demanding, remote environments.

The Role:

• Support safe and efficient offshore sailing operations
  
• Maintain and troubleshoot onboard systems
  
• Assist with expedition logistics in remote regions
  
• Contribute to a professional, high-performing team
  

The Programme:

• Southern Ocean expedition season (2026–2027)
  
• High-latitude cruising and remote operations
  
• Expedition activities including mountaineering and skiing
  
• Future Pacific programme focused on diving
