Modio Health is looking for a Payer Contracting Support Specialist, Temp to join our Extended Credentialing Services (XCS) team Your primary objective is to work with new and/or existing Modio XCS clients to secure in-network healthcare payer contracts.  Your role involves the submission of applications to client identified payers including all supporting documentation and/or applicationsThis role will be client-facing and will be required to reach out to the client as needed for any missing documentation/information and provide regular updatesThis temporary position reports to Manager I, Client Services.

*This is a part-time (20 hours per week) temporary position*

Responsibilities

  • Submission of contract requests and/or contracting applications to obtain network participation including commercial and MCO’s. 

  • Follow up with payers on status of requests and submission of supporting documentation.   Does not include rate negotiations, contract redlines or edits.  Does not include enrollments in Medicare (PECOS) or State Fee-For-Service Medicaid.  

  • Continued reach out to the payer until the contracting process is complete, and an effective date is documented. 

  • Communicate effectively and consistently document all interactions throughout the payer contracting process. 

  • Start and update payer contracting tracking in the OneView system.   

  • Maintain positive and professional communication (verbal and written) with both internal and external customers. 

  • Provide updates and support to clients on a regular basis to keep them informed of the progress of the contracting process.   

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience with provider enrollment, credentialing or a demonstrated understanding of the payer contracting life cycle 
  • Experience with contracting for both commercial and MCO’s 

  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written 

  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor in all interactions 

  • Excellent analytical, communications, and interpersonal skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Familiarity with CAQH, Availity and OnBoard Pro 

  • Works with sense of urgency 

  • Organized and detail-oriented 

  • High School Diploma required with an associates or Bachelor's degree in Business or healthcare preferred

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay of $25/hour.
