About The Role:

Join Paysend to shape the future of a fintech brand trusted by over 11 million customers worldwide and help us build the world’s largest digital payments network to simplify money transfers for everyone.

As our Localization Manager, you'll support and help shape Paysend's localization efforts, ensuring consistent and culturally relevant content across global markets. Reporting to the Localization Lead, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams: executing high-quality localization projects that serve consumer customers, enterprise clients, and corporate stakeholders alike.

This is a part-time position (20h per week) - Contractor


What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Localization Coordination

  • Support the Localization Lead in the end-to-end localization process, helping ensure consistent, high-quality translations across markets and product touchpoints.

  • Maintain localization glossaries, style guides, and asset libraries to support linguistic and brand coherence across channels.

Project & Vendor Support

  • Coordinate localization projects day-to-day, tracking timelines, deliverables, and communication between internal teams and external translators or LSPs.

  • Liaise with freelance translators and vendors, helping manage briefs, deadlines, and feedback cycles.

  • Work within localization tools such as Crowdin and Lokalise, manage files, assign tasks, and monitor progress.

Quality Assurance

  • Carry out basic checks to ensure translated content is accurate, on-brand, and culturally appropriate.

  • Flag inconsistencies and escalate issues to the Localization Lead, contributing to continuous process improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Assist Localization Lead with work for marketing, product, and design teams' requests to ensure localization needs are factored into project timelines.

  • Help build awareness of localization best practices across teams.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful In This Role:

  • 2+ years of experience in localization, translation project coordination, or a related role.

  • Familiarity with localization tools such as Crowdin (preferred), Lokalise, Smartling, or similar platforms.

  • Experience using AI-assisted translation tools and workflows.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership and quality.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with shifting priorities.

What Would Be Plus:

  • Proficiency in one or more languages beyond English.

  • Prior exposure to fintech, payments, or another internationally operating industry.

  • Basic understanding of TMS integrations or localization automation concepts.

  • Basic understanding of HTML, JSON, or content management systems

  • Educational background in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or a related field.

  • Experience working in a tech or digital product environment
