Regional Manager – Program Excellence

Location: This is a remote position based in Atlantic, Canada.

Like Lifemark, you believe in the power of work to transform lives. As the Regional Manager - Program Excellence, you’ll work remotely as part of a team supporting Lifemark’s complex programs across Canada. This team makes a difference in the lives of Canadian veterans, injured workers, their families and communities by supporting service delivery teams in providing interprofessional rehabilitation services to the highest standard.

This position will report to the National Director and will manage the regional service provision of all medical, psychosocial, and vocational rehabilitation services. The Manager of Program Excellence is responsible for advancing quality, safety, and efficiency across all clinical programs by leading organization-wide improvement initiatives within their region. This role champions the adoption of best practices, fosters a culture of interprofessional collaboration, and ensures consistent and timely delivery of high-quality care through continuous process optimization.

The Regional Manager – Program Excellence is a key resource for comprehensive programs serving Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), Workers Compensation Boards (WCB), and Long Term Disability (LTD) customers.

Primary Focus:

  • Drives organization-wide quality improvement and standardization initiatives across multiple clinical programs.
  • Champions best practices, continuous improvement methodologies, and process optimization to elevate overall program performance.
  • Acts as a consultant/coach to operations managers—less focused on direct management and more on advancing excellence at the systems/process level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Improvement Leadership: Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to enhance program quality, safety, patient outcomes, and operational performance across all program-based clinical services.
  • Interprofessional Collaboration: Facilitate and promote teamwork among diverse clinical disciplines (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, medicine, allied health) to ensure integrated approaches to patient care.
  • Best Practice Implementation: Identify, standardize, and disseminate evidence-based protocols and workflows throughout clinical programs.
  • Quality & Performance Measurement: Define benchmarks; analyze data to monitor performance against targets; lead action plans for program and process improvement based on findings as defined by service level agreements and organizational KPIs.
  • Issue Resolution & Compliance: Act as the central escalation point for operational, clinical and system-related issues for key contracts in support of quality and compliance with regulatory standards, policies and procedures.
  • Coaching & Mentorship: Act as a consultant/coach to operations leaders and teams on access and quality improvement projects and the integration of interprofessional practices.
  • Education & Training: Design and deliver educational sessions on quality improvement methodologies, change management, and interprofessional teamwork.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels—clinical staff, leadership teams—and external partners to facilitate the spread of excellence initiatives, across the Lifemark and affiliate network.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a rehabilitation or health-related field
  • A current regulated health professional designation in good standing
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ overall experience in the direct provision of interprofessional complex rehabilitation services, including case conceptualization and disability management approaches in care plans
