JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a strong Senior Tax Accountant with solid Australian Tax experience to support our onshore tax team. This role will focus primarily on Income Tax Return preparation and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) compliance, along with broader corporate tax responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has hands-on AU tax compliance experience, strong working knowledge of corporate and individual tax, and exposure to FBT (Employment Taxes). This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple partners and stakeholders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, Preparation and lodge Individual, Company, and Trust Income Tax Returns

• Preparation and support of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns (peak period: March–June)

• Corporate tax compliance and supporting working papers

• Preparation of tax reconciliations and compliance documentation

• Use of internal tax systems (CTS and Excel-based working paper tools)

• Liaising with onshore partners and tax team members

• Assisting with general Australian tax compliance matters

• Ensuring deadlines are met within budgeted hours

QUALIFICATIONS  

• 3+ years of Australian Tax experience

• Strong experience in AU Income Tax compliance

• Exposure to Corporate Tax

• FBT experience (Employment Taxes) is highly preferred; training can be provided

• Strong written and spoken English communication skills

• High attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• CPA or CA (completed or ongoing) is preferred but not required

Systems & Tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office

• Experience with Australian tax software (CTS experience is an advantage)

• Ability to quickly learn internal systems and processes

Quality, Communication & Efficiency

• Ensures the quality of work being delivered without supervision

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Works within allotted budget hours for assigned jobs

• Ensures all deliverables are fulfilled in a timely manner
