Role: Looker SME
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6-12 Months+ (Possibility of Contract-to-Hire)
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote - India (O nce permanent, Hybrid 3xdays onsite in Hyderabad)

We are looking for a Looker SME (Subject Matter Expert) to join our analytics team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of Looker dashboards, data models, and visualizations. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to drive data literacy, enhance self-service capabilities, and deliver scalable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the go-to expert for all Looker-related development, administration, and best practices.
Design and implement scalable LookML data models to support business analytics needs.
Create impactful dashboards and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
Partner with data engineering to optimize data pipelines and ensure Looker models are connected to clean, reliable data sources.
Provide training and guidance to business users to improve self-service reporting capabilities.
Maintain and enforce Looker governance policies, user roles, and access controls.
Stay current with Looker releases and industry best practices to continuously enhance platform performance and usability.
Troubleshoot Looker performance and data issues as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Looker, including LookML development.
Proficient in SQL and strong understanding of data modeling concepts.
Experience designing and building scalable, high-performance dashboards.
Familiarity with BI/data stack (ETL tools, data warehouses such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience administering Looker instances (user provisioning, content governance, scheduling).
Looker certifications (e.g., Looker LookML Developer or Business Analyst).
Experience in agile environments and BI development lifecycle.
