Job description

We are looking for a Solution Architect for our client for Implementation of Crime Fighting Intelligence Platform for end clients.

Our client is a pioneering software company based in Prague, Czechia, delivering highly secure, AI-powered investigative and intelligence solutions to government agencies across Europe and the Middle East. Their flagship platform is a modular, scalable analytics system tailored for crime investigation, law enforcement, counter-terrorism, and prison intelligence.

They have successfully implemented over 100 projects in 22 countries across 4 continents, becoming a strategic partner in transforming how crimes are investigated and how national security threats are mitigated. Solutions are deployed on-premise and support deep integrations with external systems for full situational awareness.

What You’ll Do – Your Mission

You will act as the strategic technical lead on new and ongoing projects with government and public security organizations. Your primary responsibility will be the end-to-end design and oversight of software architecture, from pre-sales technical scoping and RFP support to blueprint creation, integration planning, and successful rollout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design scalable, secure software architectures for investigative platforms.

  • Lead solution design from RFP to handover, including deployment, testing, and integration phases.

  • Oversee system integrations in Java, focusing on ETL pipelines, API management, and custom modules.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and implementation specialists.

  • Guide the client’s local environments by customizing architecture to fit existing IT ecosystems and security standards.

  • Ensure performance, robustness, and clarity in design through comprehensive documentation and internal reviews.

  • Travel to client sites (across EMEA) for design workshops, deployments, and feedback sessions.

  • Supervise 5–6 developers, divided by technology stack, under the coordination of the lead architect.

Tech Environment & Project Scope

Tech Stack: Java, Apache Kafka, NiFi, Airflow, ElasticSearch, ArangoDB, Hadoop, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes
Patterns & Frameworks: Microservices, API-first, Event-Driven Architecture, ESB, Integration Design Patterns

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in software architecture roles, ideally in consulting.

  • Strong Java-based systems architecture experience.

  • Familiarity with Big Data architecture and security-aware system design.

  • Experience with system integration (ETL, APIs, legacy systems).

  • Fluent English (spoken and written) – for working with clients in the Middle East (UAE, Jordan, KSA).

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with law enforcement, national security, or public sector clients.

  • Prior work with RFPs and pre-sales support.

  • Hands-on understanding of on-premise deployment and secure infrastructure design.

  • Familiarity with tools like Camunda, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.

Benefits
  • Mission-driven work: Solve crimes and protect communities through technology.
  • Elite clients: Direct collaboration with government units and national-level agencies.
  • Technical authority: Work alongside a lead architect and lead your sub-team.
  • Travel opportunities: Explore critical missions in Europe and the Middle East.
  • Remote-first flexibility with occasional team syncs in Prague HQ.
  • Attractive compensation
  • Preferred start: 1 September 2025.

Travel to client sites (primarily across the EMEA region) for design workshops, deployments, testing, and feedback collection.

  • Travel is a key part of this role, typically structured as follows: two weeks abroad every other month, alternating with one week or no travel in between.
