Job description

The Head of Programming and Audience Development will serve as the architect of BiggerPockets’ content ecosystem, leading programming and distribution across podcasts, video, newsletters, editorial, and social with the purpose of growing our audience, deepening engagement, and fueling platform adoption.

This leader will bring a sharp perspective on what content BiggerPockets should uniquely create, when to amplify thirdparty voices, and how to partner with aligned advertisers and creators. They will help clarify the role of content in a broader product and growth context, set standards for brand consistency, and deliver highperforming content experiences that create longterm audience value. This executive will partner closely with the Head of Content Strategy & Real Estate Investing to align on overall content strategy, ensuring our platform delivers trusted, compelling, and differentiated content that serves the needs of our real estate investing community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Content as Growth Engine: Design and execute a multiplatform content programming strategy that drives qualified audiences into the BiggerPockets ecosystem, supports user activation, and encourages repeat engagement across products, tools, and membership.
  • Franchise & Format Innovation: Build scalable content franchises and explore new formats that drive recurring engagement and brand authority.
  • Audience Development Strategy: Define what content BiggerPockets should uniquely produce vs. where we should amplify thirdparty voices, creators, and educational content to broaden reach and influence.
  • Market Positioning & Brand Voice: Establish BiggerPockets’ editorial point of view in a crowded content landscape, differentiating us from real estate influencers, publishers, and transactional platforms.
  • Platform & Product Integration: Align content initiatives with the broader product roadmap and membership value proposition, helping users discover and adopt our tools, calculators, marketplaces, and community experiences.
  • CommunityCentric Programming: Deliver content that reflects the needs, behaviors, and aspirations of our audience, supporting them throughout their investing journey with practical, trustworthy, and inspiring resources.
  • Strategic Sponsorship Alignment: Partner closely with the Media Sales team to ensure sponsorships and branded content align with our values, protect the user experience, and strengthen our longterm brand equity.
  • DataDriven Optimization: Use performance insights to evolve content planning, distribution, and format innovation.
  • Team & Operational Leadership: Lead a highperforming team of editors, producers, writers, and strategists across disciplines. Instill operational rigor and crossfunctional coordination with Product, Marketing, and Media Sales teams.
    • Key Qualifications
      • 10+ years of content leadership experience in digital media, productled, or consumer platform environments
      • Proven success in building and scaling multiplatform content ecosystems (e.g. podcast, YouTube, newsletters, social) that drive user growth and engagement
      • Experience using content as a strategic lever for acquisition, conversion, and retention
      • Deep understanding of how to navigate creator ecosystems, platforms, and partnerships, with a strong editorial filter for brand alignment and trust
      • Strong instincts around what content to build inhouse vs. amplify or curate, and how to manage that mix for efficiency and influence
      • Excellent crossfunctional leadership skills and ability to collaborate across Marketing, Product, Sales, and Community teams
      • Missiondriven, highEQ leader who understands the BiggerPockets audience and is passionate about helping people build wealth through real estate

              • $150,000 $200,000 per year based on experience
