Currently we are seeking a dedicated and experienced LCL Manager to join our dynamic team. As a leading global logistics provider, we specialize in streamlined freight solutions that cater to our diverse customer base across Europe. In this role, you will be pivotal in managing our Less-than-Container Load (LCL) operations, consider set-up of consolidation hubs/gateways, optimize routings, ensuring efficient service delivery and optimal performance.

The main purpose of your role:

Your primary responsibilities will encompass full budget ownership and strategy of the regional LCL Product, including overseeing the financial- and operational aspects of LCL shipments, coordinating logistics activities, and building strong relationships with NVOCC carriers and partners. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, as well as implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiencies and improve profitability.

  • Drive LCL solutions development and establish guidelines for service continuity and profitability.
  • Support Regional Ocean Product Management and manage pricing guidelines for sales.
  • Engage with sales and customers to identify market needs and values.
  • Ensure Corporate Compliance for Ocean LCL services, including regulatory and security programs.
  • Identify training needs for LCL product with branch and product management.
  • Procure LCL services from approved global partners.
  • Optimize LCL strategy by defining break points and conversion targets per trade lane.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales, and customer service to develop tailored client solutions, maintaining customer care standards.
  • Monitor market trends, optimize freight rates, and identify business growth opportunities in the LCL segment.
  • Accountable for product targets and KPIs, managing LCL performance and implementing process improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial mindset with proven LCL sales and operations experience.
  • Experience in freight forwarding, LCL product development, and operations.
  • Proficient in negotiating and managing contracts with transportation providers.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for business objectives.
  • Basic skills in process improvement and project management.
  • Understanding of import/export regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, building effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Analytical mindset, experienced in monitoring market trends and analyzing operational data.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an emphasis on operational excellence.
  • Effective communication in English and the local language.
  • Proficient in logistics software and cargo management systems.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies is an advantage.
  • Self-starter with decision-making abilities and change management skills.
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of customer requirements.
  • Strong influencing skills and results-driven approach.
