Job description

Title : Head Of Engineering

Location : 100% Remote Work
Duration : Fulltime

Requirements

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, plus for direct experience working with multiple external vendors/clients
  • Proven experience developing and launching mobile apps on app stores (iOS or Android)
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, estimation, and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services including but not limited to s3, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, EC2
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the agency, creative and digital software delivery process is a plus
  • Prior experience with our technical partners is also a plus

Responsibilities :

Project Management :

  • Empower and enable the engineering team to deliver outstanding results to our customers and build quality products
  • Work with clients to define and document product requirements and roadmaps to meet/exceed expectations
  • Work cross functionally with Project Management and Design to deliver projects on time and ensure client and technical team have the required artifacts needed
  • Serve as technical point of contact for clients for any production related issues while being able to create amazing products that scale
  • Define product backlogs ensuring future sprints are planned in accordance with client needs and development resources
  • Serve as point of contact for internal and external resources related to the management of technical tools/software (Jira, Postman, AWS, GitHub, WPengine, etc.)
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed to support business development efforts

People And Process Management :

  • Build and maintain a culture of excellence, mentorship, and collaboration; be a world-class manager
  • Scope out well-defined career paths and growth opportunities for every engineer
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team of developers and technical specialists removing blockers as necessary
  • Source, recruit, and nurture world-class engineering talent
  • Manage the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment
