JOB PURPOSE

This role will enable the Global Marketing & Communications (GMC) Core Team to strengthen the culture, rhythm of business, and employee experience across 100+ GMC staff. This includes:

  • Leading the design, management, and execution of “One Team” programmes to improve GMC staff employee experience, staff care, and team culture Coordinate GMC team internal “rhythm of the business” meetings, communications, and knowledge management Support clarity of GMC’s strategic direction Provide capacity for GMC-internal training and capability building efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

40% - “One Team” Programme Management: Design and lead the execution of GMC’s overall “One Team” efforts to build team culture, deliver a strong employee experience, and provide for staff care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure regular two-way communication and feedback mechanisms for staff exist and are leveraged, including Our Voice and Pulse surveys
  • Support the GMC Core Team to define, design, and execute actions to respond to staff feedback
  • Connect with and leverage broader Partnership opportunities (i.e. Staff Care week) as part of an overall integrated cadence of work to build culture, deliver a strong experience, and provide for staff care.

25% - GMC “rhythm of the business” management: Coordinate a common GMC “rhythm of the business” cadence for all internally-focused efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Development and management of a staff-focused calendar of internally focused programmes, events, and milestones
  • Coordination of all GMC-internal knowledge management and community engagement channels
  • Contribute to efforts to reduce bureaucracy in GMC systems and processes
  • Coordination and preparation forf GMC-internal meetings and communications
  • Support Chief Marketing & Communications Officer on as-needed projects

20% - Strategy and Planning Support: Working with the Director, Strategy, Planning, & Engagement, support efforts to establish, maintain, and refine GMC’s strategic direction, priorities, and plans.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure GMC strategic direction is clear to all GMC staff
  • Ensure key strategic performance indicators are cascaded through staff performance plans
  • Assist with development and communication of  integrated plans to GMC staff

15% - Training and Capability Building: Support GMC Core Team and Leadership Team with the development and delivery of staff-focused training and capability-building resources as needed. Key responsibilities include:

  • Consultation to those developing GMC-internal training and capability building resources
  • Design and delivery of training and resources as requested
  • Monitoring and reporting of GMC’s participation in broader Partnership-wide required trainings and compliance-related courses

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Organisational Development, Human Resources, Marketing or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in roles related to internal communication, employee engagement, and/or organisational development
  • Experience working in large, global teams working in a virtual environment
  • Previous delivery of change management or culture-building initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal English is required. 

  • Flexible working hours to accommodate virtual meetings across time zones.

Preferred Experience,  Knowledge and/or other Qualifications

  • Program or project management.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management software and tools (preferably MS).
  • Strategic planning.
  • Change management or culture-building initiatives.
  • Written communication skills.
