Distribution Field Technician II

Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide. We are currently looking for a Distribution Field Technician II to join the Conexon Field Services team.

We are seeking a highly skilled Distribution Field Technician II to join our team. As a Distribution Field Technician II, you will play a vital role in collecting field data to be used for Make Ready Engineering. Make Ready Engineering is the first and most pivotal point to a fiber build. This is a remote position with lots of travel required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Provide quality pictures and measurements for analytical make ready engineering.

2. Protect all hardware provided by the company to complete work.

3. Analyze all equipment and keep equipment up to date with software updates.

4. Coordinate travel with Lead Distribution Field Technician.

5. Upload pictures into Katapult for design specialists to utilize

6. Run big camera in the field and lead a crew when applicable

7. Working knowledge of Katapult mapping and processes.

8. Review deliverables for Make Ready Engineering and ensure process efficiencies.

9. Learn NESC clearances for fiber builds.

10. Develop a working knowledge of RUS standards.

Job Qualifications:

1. High school or equivalent education level is required.

2. Travel for work will be required.

3. Attention to detail and accountability for work is required.

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify optimization opportunities.

5. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

7. Continuous learning mindset with a keen interest in staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.

8. Knowledge of RUS specifications are highly preferred.
