Senior System Engineer

Established in 2016, the Greek entity Arηs Developments Hellas aims to extend Arηs Group activities dedicated to the European market providing high-quality services in Software Development, covering the entire application development lifecycle.

We are currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team in one of the biggest European organizations on remote basis.

Tasks:

• Deployment of application of hotfixes/patches.
• Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) resources administration (Azure-AWS).
• Update management of Windows Azure/AWS VMs.
• Upgrade/Migrate Microsoft Windows server instances to latest OS versions.
• Monitor performance of servers, anticipate issues, and propose solutions.
• Automated configuration management of on-premises and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Ansible/Terraform).
• Second tier incident management and apply mitigations or solutions.
• Modern authentication administration (ENTRA ID, OAUTH 2/OpenID/SAML).
• Windows Server administration (VMs, AD, ADFS, MIM, etc.).
• Investigation of root cause of incidents and proposal of permanent solutions.

Knowledge and skills:

• Bachelor plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English (equal to B2/C1 CERF) 
• Good knowledge of  Windows Azure/AWS VMs and Microsoft Windows server.
• Experienced in Automated configuration management of on-premises and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Ansible/Terraform)
• Experienced in Modern authentication administration (ENTRA ID, OAUTH 2/OpenID/SAML) and Windows Server administration (VMs, AD, ADFS, MIM, etc.).
• Ability to monitor performance of servers, anticipate issues, and propose solutions.
• Service-oriented attitude.
• Well developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and on multiple tasks providing efficient solutions related to the performance of the servers.
• Sense of initiative and responsibility for the assigned areas of work.
• Accuracy and attention to details.

Desirable experience:

• Web Application Firewall administration.
• Load Balancer administration.
• Application Gateway administration.
• Hardening of Windows/Linux servers.
• Ubuntu Linux server Management/Updates administration.
