We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Actuarial Division as an Actuarial Support Technician. The position, which works under close supervision, provides support to our Actuarial Division by assisting in the rate review preparation process. It requires the person to:

  • Use various databases to enter information and produce exhibits
  • Communicate by phone or electronically as required
  • Have the ability to learn the computer software used in the Actuarial department
  • Use Microsoft Word and Excel to create documentation and reports including, but not limited to, review packets, manual pages, group updates, and filings
  • Have regular and predictable attendance to meet defined work deadlines
  • Assist with other duties within the department or elsewhere on request

Desired Skills & Experience

  • High school education or its equivalent is required. An Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • High levels of organization, time management, and accuracy are required.
  • The ability to prioritize his/her own workload is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Some insurance industry knowledge is preferred.
