SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) SME and Data Team Lead

cBEYONData is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Lead to join our team in support of a multi-year SAP S/4 HANA modernization effort for a federal customer. The focus across the broader program includes IT transformation, leveraging subject matter experts to transform business processes, requirements development, change management and human-centered design, among other IT modernization programmatic activities. The MDG Lead will oversee and direct data governance, quality, and analysts in assisting our clients in transforming their landscape of processes, personnel, information, data, and systems, with the goal of providing leaders the information required to make informed mission decisions. The MDG Lead needs to have a well-rounded understanding of application development, infrastructure planning, and system integration activities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a remote team of up to 12 skilled professionals.
• Interview and hire candidates to fill open positions within the team.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture (The Ideal Team Player concept), ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow in a remote environment.
• Leads data architects in system analysis, software changes and integrations across multiple technologies 
• Leads the analysis and validation of whether or not data models and other solution components meet the intent of the client’s strategy
• Leads the team in reviewing everything from client policies, to system data fields, to understand how the relevant data model will impact to day-to-day operations
• Experience with complex problem-solving strategies. Able to determine the source of a problem and find effective solution(s) through an in-depth evaluation of varying factors. Strong capacity for abstract reasoning and creative visioning 
• Leads the team in contributing to the establishment of data management strategies, principles, models, and standards
• Leads the team in working with governance teams to identify data governance and applicable standards

Requirements:

• 6 years of experience in a similar role
• BS/BA degree in applicable field
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required
• Proven experience with SAP S/4 HANA, specifically around MDMG
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and functional team members
• Strong ability to break down problems, structure ones own and other work, and deliver outcomes and valuable outputs on aggressive timelines
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Proficient in Agile practices, methodologies, and tools
• Experience supporting large-scale IT transformation with multiple stakeholders and ensuring integration/collaboration occurs across all parties

Preferred:

• Experience with large-scale government ERP finance implementations and data
• Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira, ServiceNow, or similar project management tools
• Experience facilitating collaboration with cross-functional teams 
• Experience working remotely within a large project
• Experience working in a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment
• Experience in SQL, Python, data modeling, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning preferred 
• Hands-on experience with data management, data architecture and data modeling within the US DoD
• Experience using Enterprise Architecture tools like ARIS, Enterprise Architect, etc.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and other data visualization tools
• Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams; experience with working complex projects remotely is a plus
