Job description

I’m helping Houston Graduate School of Theology find a top candidate to join their team full-time for the role of Data Collection Specialist.


You'll collect, analyze, and present data to support improvements in a theological education institution.


Compensation:

USD 27.8 - 35.6/hour


Location:

Remote: United States


Mission of Houston Graduate School of Theology:

"As a Professional Data Entry Clerk at Houston Graduate School of Theology, you will play a crucial role in organizing and maintaining our extensive database of project and client information. You will work closely with our project managers and team members to ensure accurate and timely data entry, while also providing valuable support to the daily operations of our architecture firm."

Responsibilities and more:

Key Responsibilities:


* Develop and implement data collection plans to ensure accurate, complete, and timely data collection.

* Utilize various data collection methods such as surveys, interviews, and observation to gather information from students, faculty, and staff.

* Collaborate with different departments to identify data needs and determine the best approach for data collection.

* Use data management tools and software to organize and maintain collected data.

* Conduct data quality checks and resolve any discrepancies or errors.

* Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.

* Prepare reports and visualizations to present data findings to relevant stakeholders.

* Stay current with industry best practices and new technologies for data collection and analysis.

* Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all collected data.


Qualifications:


* 0–2 years of experience in data collection and analysis.

* Proficient in data management tools and software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, SQL, etc.).

* Familiarity with survey design and data visualization.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

* Highly organized and detail-oriented.

* Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Passion for data and its role in informing decision-making.
