JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Video Producer’s primary role will be to provide video production support to various work streams and campaigns across ACE and its affiliated brands and partners with a particular focus on generating renewable energy video content. The Senior Video Producer is a resourceful creative professional with a versatile skillset and a dedication to ACE's mission to advance a zero-carbon economy. They will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce high-quality visual content - timely delivery of technically refined assets that are brand aligned, visually appealing and compelling.
 

In this position, the Senior Video Producer will manage and execute all phases of the video production process, including pre, field and post-production for ACE and its affiliated entities, websites, social media and online media campaigns, while focussing on capturing compelling narratives and showcasing voices across communities. While this position will focus on Clean Energy content production, the Senior Video Producer will support other content streams and production including Culture, Civic Participation, Fossil Fuels and Global Decarbonization as needs and capacity shift based on work plan priorities. [This position requires previous documentary production experience.] The Senior Video Producer reports to the Senior Director of Video in the Communications department.
 

This is a full-time position based anywhere in the United States. The Senior Video Producer will work from home, meet as required by video chat with teams, and have weekly national full staff meetings with colleagues online. Regular domestic and international travel, sometimes on short notice,  will be required for field production, relevant events, staff retreats and other convenings as needed. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Video Production:

  • Develop and execute video content for various digital platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, priorities and standards.
    • Research, source and coordinate compelling subjects and stories that meet organizational KPIs; Prepare beat sheets with interview questions and details to optimize time in the field
    • Build rapport with and direct subjects, conduct interviews and capture engaging visuals from the field
    • Edit captivating and succinct narratives in a refined and efficient manner, taking into account direction and feedback from internal stakeholders during review stages
  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, including rapid response production and turnaround, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to project requirements and high-quality output
  • Travel for production, (sometimes on short notice) both nationally and internationally

Collaborative Projects:

  • Collaborate with Storytelling Team, outside vendors and across teams to ensure project success
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including team leads and potential subjects, to understand priorities and needs to deliver exceptional video content

Other Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of our video production processes and workflows, including media management, as well as new ideas and perspectives to support the team in achieving our goals
  • Perform other video production-related tasks as needed to support ACE and its partners
  • Adapt to the evolving needs of a fast-paced organization with flexibility and creativity
 
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in video production with proven success leading complex projects from concept to delivery.
  • Deep expertise in all phases of [documentary] production (pre-production, field, post-production), with strong creative, technical, and editorial skills
  • Extensive experience conducting interviews, directing on-location shoots and subjects, and producing narrative-driven content.
  • Experience filming with Canon Cinema product line.
  • Advanced editing skills (Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Creative Suite), with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize feedback and collaborate across teams.
  • Highly organized and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport, reliable transportation access, and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed, including to rural or remote locations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to racial equity, inclusion, and storytelling that uplifts underrepresented voices.
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with animation and motion graphics.
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategies and video optimization for diverse platforms.
  • FAA-licensed drone pilot (or willingness to obtain certification with organizational support).
  • Experience in scriptwriting and story development.
  • Previous international production experience.
  • Subject-matter expertise in climate, renewable energy, civic engagement, or democracy spaces.

POSITION DETAILS
  • Annual salary range: $85,000 - 95,000, commensurate with experience
  • Generous benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 403b retirement savings plan, Vacation, Sabbatical, Paid Parental Leave, 2 Floating Holidays, 2 Community Service Floating Holidays, sick time, two weeks of full-staff time off (July 4 week and Christmas-New Years week) and 13 observed holidays
