Job Description Summary
This position has been segmented "Remote Anywhere" meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories.

The Sr Manager, Procurement Governance, will play a critical role in ensuring that procurement activities adhere to established policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. This leadership position is responsible for developing and maintaining procurement governance frameworks, driving compliance and risk management initiatives, optimizing processes, and enabling data governance to support strategic sourcing and contracting through the SAP Ariba System. The Sr Manager will be a proactive change agent, capable of leading cross-functional teams through process improvements and digital transformation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Policy & Process Development

  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive procurement policies, procedures, and standards aligned with internal controls, risk management frameworks, security protocols, and legal/regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, review, and update sourcing and contracting templates within SAP Ariba to ensure consistency and compliance.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Monitor procurement activities to ensure adherence to internal policies and applicable external regulations.

  • Conduct periodic audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and vulnerabilities.

  • Investigate non-compliance issues, recommend corrective actions, and oversee their implementation.

Training & Change Management

  • Develop and deliver training programs for procurement staff and stakeholders covering policies, procurement tools, and best practices.

  • Lead change management initiatives to support adoption of process improvements and digital procurement solutions.

Process Optimization

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing procurement efficiency, effectiveness, and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with procurement operations and sourcing teams to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.

Technology & Data Governance

  • Support the implementation, integration, and management of procurement technology platforms and tools.

  • Define and enforce data governance standards related to supplier and contract data integrity and security.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Define procurement key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards to monitor compliance, cycle times, cost savings, and supplier performance.

  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.

Supplier Relationship Management

Facilitate Procurement Business Reviews with key suppliers to assess performance, risks, and opportunities for collaboration and improvement.

Additional Tasks as requested by Business

SUPERVISION:

  • Accountable for 3+ from an Outsourced Managed Service provider.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: Collaborate across the organization, engaging with executive leadership and cross-functional teams within a matrixed environment at corporate, regional and divisional levels.

  • External – Suppliers: Build and maintain strong partnerships with preferred suppliers and strategic partners to ensure alignment and performance.

  • External – Support Services: Lead and coordinate initiatives with nearshore and offshore third-party providers, as well as external business consultants, to drive project success and operational efficiency.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Remote: This role is fully remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a home-based environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eight (8) years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles with experience in a governance, compliance, or process leadership capacity

  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making; adept at utilizing market intelligence, spend analysis, and cost modeling to support strategic initiatives

  • Demonstrated project management expertise, with effective leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive results in a dynamic environment

  • Strong cost-conscious mindset with a passion for identifying savings and creating value

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field required

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Proven ability to lead change management and training programs

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).  The expected base rate for this role is between

$95,000 - $155,000
