Our client is a UK Lighting manufacturer specialising in lighting solutions for the retail sector. They operate across several European countries and are headquartered in the UK, offering a range of lighting designs tailored for retail environment.
We are hiring a Business Development Manager to develop further expansion within the UK retail market sector. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, specifically targeting end-user retailers through your existing architect, designer, contractor/project manager and end-user contacts.
This is a remote role with a focus on clients in London and the South East.
Develop new business partnerships within the retail market sector via architects, designers, contractors/project managers and end-users
Represent the company at trade shows and present products and services to potential clients
Work closely with the sales, marketing and design team to ensure alignment of proposals and strategy
Provide regular sales forecasts, reports and strategic recommendations to senior management
Requirements
Proven experience working with a lighting or controls manufacturer or lighting design consultancy with knowledge of the retail market sector
Proven contact base of architects, designers, contractors/project managers and end-users
Ability to travel nationwide to survey sites and make bid proposals, including into the London area
Track record of achieving sales targets
Full UK driving license
