How you’ll make an impact
Lead and support commissioning of substations and FACTS equipment across North America
Guide and coordinate Hitachi Energy and contractor teams on-site
Develop and manage commissioning budgets, schedules, and energization plans
Ensure safe, high-quality execution aligned with EH&S standards
Represent Hitachi Energy in customer-facing project environments
Interpret and communicate technical drawings and protection schemes
Track project progress and report to leadership
Identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce costs
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in HV substation or power quality commissioning (SVC, STATCOM, capacitor banks)
Strong knowledge of AC/DC circuits, protection systems, and substation automation
Experience with transformers, UPS, capacitor/reactor banks, and surge protection
Familiarity with thyristor, IGCT, or IGBT valves is a plus
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and travel extensively
