Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to prepare, review, and analyze financial records and reports. This person will play a critical role in account reconciliations, financial compliance, and audit readiness, while also supporting special projects and potential M&A activity. Ideal candidates will have strong technical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements using GAAP - Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Conduct reconciliations of key accounts, including Payroll, Accrued Expenses, Leases (ASC 842), and Fixed/Intangible Assets.
• Support audit processes by gathering documentation and ensuring the accuracy of reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts (AOP).
• Review corporate charges for proper allocation and accuracy.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in the ERP system.
• Maintain internal controls and implement accounting best practices.
• Support the integration of newly acquired entities into financial systems.
• Lead or assist with special accounting projects to improve efficiency.
• Participate in due diligence and M&A processes as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Able to work independently and prioritize multiple deadlines.

Nice-to-Haves:

• CPA designation.
• Experience in public accounting or the construction industry.
• Familiarity with Sage300CRE or similar job-costing ERP systems.
• Prior exposure to M&A support and integration work.
