Job purpose:

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to lead the design and development of advanced web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks. You’ll take ownership of the frontend architecture, work closely with backend and UX teams, and mentor junior developers, delivering solutions that are scalable, high-performing, and accessible.


Job details: 

  • Location: 100% Remote (must be able to work on a UTC-6 schedule)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. UTC-6
  • Job Type: Full-time position
  • Language Proficiency: Professional proficiency in Spanish and English (B2+ reading, writing & conversation)
  • Availability: Immediate availability preferred


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of responsive, high-performance React applications that follow modern web standards.
  • Collaborate with design, back-end, and QA teams to build and maintain web applications that prioritize user experience and accessibility.
  • Own the entire front-end development process, ensuring code quality, reusability, and adherence to the technical architecture established by the team. 
  • Integrate with headless CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful) and back-end APIs (REST/GraphQL).
  • Build clean, maintainable code aligned with accessibility (WCAG/ARIA), SEO, and performance standards.
  • Drive improvements in development processes, CI/CD pipelines, and coding standards.
  • Translate design mockups into reusable, scalable components.
  • Mentor developers, perform code reviews, and ensure best practices.
  • Ensure concise and comprehensive project documentation is maintained, following the team’s guidelines.
  • Debugs or troubleshoots complex issues in existing web applications.


Required Academic Background:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years in frontend development using React, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
  • Deep understanding of Next.js, React Router, custom hooks, HOCs, Zustand or Redux.
  • Experience working with headless CMSs like Contentful, Strapi, and building dynamic content-driven sites.
  • Strong HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), and responsive design skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD, GitFlow, testing tools, and cross-browser debugging.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into action plans and deliverables.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality standards and timely delivery.
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills in multicultural teams.
  • Comfortable communicating and documenting in both English and Spanish.


Preferred Skills:

  • Node.js experience for front-end-related API integrations or SSR optimizations.
  • Knowledge of animations using CSS, GSAP, or JavaScript libraries.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure), Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.
  • Familiarity with Agile environments and digital agencies.
