We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of our on-premises infrastructure and applications. This hands-on role focuses on automation, monitoring, incident response, and operational excellence, and includes participation in an on-call rotation for critical systems. The ideal candidate has expertise in infrastructure tooling, container platforms, and observability technologies. You will collaborate closely with the DevOps team to drive continuous improvement across system performance, capacity planning, and change management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and scale on-premises infrastructure to meet performance and availability objectives.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Define and implement observability standards, including service-level indicators (SLIs) and service-level objectives (SLOs), as well as automated alerting mechanisms.
  • Manage and support containerized environments.
  • Monitor system health, detect anomalies, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
  • Respond to incidents, lead troubleshooting efforts, and contribute to post-incident reviews.
  • Participate in Agile sprints, planning, and retrospectives.
  • Document tools, infrastructure processes, and support procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the department or organization.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Strong experience with on-prem infrastructure and system operations.
  • Hands-on expertise with infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Solid understanding of monitoring and logging systems such as Splunk/ELK.
  • Scripting ability in languages such as Python, Bash, Go, etc.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts: Load balancers (NGINX), DNS, firewalls, VPNs, and networking essentials.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written, to effectively collaborate with global teams and document work clearly.

  • The position is eligible for remote work and can be based in either the UK or Spain.
