Key Responsibilities:

  • Appraisal Report Review and Analysis: Review appraisal reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Uniform      Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and client-specific guidelines.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with collateral, such as discrepancies in property characteristics or market data, and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, investor guidelines and company policies.
  • Reconciliation of Value: Perform reconsideration of value appeals to address discrepancies or concerns raised by borrowers or      other stakeholders.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate review findings and recommendations to appraisers, AMC’s, underwriters, loan officers, and other internal staff.
Requirements
  • Active Certified or Licensed Residential Appraiser with at least 10 years of experience in appraisal operations and valuation management, including a demonstrated ability to manage escalations, vendor performance, and team development.
  • Proven expertise handling high-volume appraisal escalations, consistently delivering resolutions that uphold regulatory compliance while balancing fairness and customer experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Skilled in problem-solving, addressing complex challenges, and collaborating across teams to implement effective solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of appraisal regulations, industry standards, and best practices, with a strong grasp of Appraiser Independence Requirements (AIR) and related regulatory frameworks
