Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Claims Compliance Specialist to support the continued growth and operational excellence of our Claims team. 

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the adjuster licensing process across multiple jurisdictions and owning the complaint handling program to ensure timely, compliant, and customer-focused resolution. You’ll also support related compliance reporting and risk-mitigation efforts to help us scale responsibly and effectively. 

As the SageSure Claims team continues to grow, you’ll be an integral part of a dynamic and forward-thinking insurtech—helping to shape how compliance is embedded into the very fabric of our Claims operations. 

What you’d be doing: 

Adjuster Licensing Compliance & Tracking: 

  • Manages the adjuster licensing process, renewals, and continuing education ensuring compliance with all state licensing requirements for adjusters 
  • Provide regular reports on licensing status to management. 
  • Communicate policy changes and licensing requirements to employees. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for adjusters regarding licensing inquiries. 

Driving Regulatory Compliance  

  • Manage the end-to-end complaint handling process to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant resolution of customer complaints. 
  • Oversee complaint reporting to track, analyze, and identify trends; drive remediation efforts to address root causes of claim-related issues 
  • Conduct comprehensive audits and reviews of claims processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.  
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials.  
  • Assist in the Carrier Audit Process, including validations for market inquiries, regulatory data calls and market conduct examination requests. 
  • Assist with control testing activities to evaluate the effectiveness of claims compliance 
  • Ability to present information to senior executives with remarkable clarity and precision, ensuring key messages are effectively conveyed 

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • 3+ years of experience of state and federal insurance claims regulations, including licensing requirements, claims handling procedures, and compliance standards. 
  • 3+ prior experience in a property claims organization. 
  • Ability to accurately interpret, explain and apply complex regulatory requirements to claims processes. 
  • Experience with regulatory monitoring and ability to analyze regulatory changes, assess their impact and clearly communicate the information to stakeholders  
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
  • Demonstrates a proven ability to analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement effective improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs. 
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate records. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Domo or other tracking tools. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Highly preferred candidates also have: 

  • 5+ prior experience in a property claims organization. 
  • General GRC (Governance Risk and Compliance) Certifications.  
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies and compliance frameworks. 
  • Experience using licensing management systems. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including identifying stakeholder needs and communicating credibly and effectively with your audience. 
  • Program Management experience
