POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer with a passion for typography and has the skills to create fonts for brands. As a Graphic Design Intern, your main responsibility will be designing a unique font that embodies the essence of SICILIAMIA. This involves a deep understanding and application of typography principles, as well as research and the use of professional type design software to develop fonts that align with our brand identity. You will collaborate with our graphic design department to ensure a seamless integration of the font across our brand identity.

We are looking for a candidate who has a strong foundation in typeface design and is also able to expand their skills into various graphic applications across our brand, including social media, packaging, web, and printed materials. 

This on-site/remote internship starts in July-August for 3 up to 6 months based in Sicily.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Technical skills

• Experience with vector-based design software (Adobe Illustrator or Glyphs).
  

• Understanding of font development processes.
  

Soft skills

• Ability to translate a brand identity into a font.
  

• Keen eye for detail.
  

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  

• Team spirit and strong communication skills.
  

Industry Knowledge

• Knowledge of print and digital font usage requirements.
