Job description

Are you ambitious and enthusiastic about managing grants with a global impact in a large philanthropic foundation? We are looking for a colleague to join the Open Calls & Post Award team in the Grant Management Department. The position is based in Hellerup, Denmark, and is a full-time position.

Ensure professional processes and collaboration
Your main responsibility as a Grant Manager is to ensure professional management of the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s Open Call grants.

In a phase of rapid growth and internationalisation you will play a key role as a partner in the backbone of the Foundation’s grant-awarding activities. You will be managing a portfolio of open calls in close collaboration with Scientific Managers in the Foundation and with external committees. You will also contribute to improving our current granting processes throughout the grant period.

Your tasks will include to:

  • Manage a portfolio of Open Calls and committees
  • Be responsible for the Open Call’s yearly application rounds, including application support
  • Coordinate processes and collaborate with stakeholders across the Foundation’s operational- and grant giving areas
  • Handle complex administrative tasks within the granting processes
  • Provide sound grant management advice and engage proactively in internal projects
  • Ensure professional advice and use previous experience to further support seamless granting processes

The Grant Management department consists of three teams with 26 employees in total. You will be part of the Open Competition & Post Award team, with reference to Pål Fernvall. Professional and Personal Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of experience with managing grants or granting processes from a foundation, a university, a research institute, or from other grant-receiving institution.

Furthermore, we expect that you have:

  • Relevant experience with grant administration, including managing open calls
  • Experience in interacting with a broad range of stakeholders including researchers and senior scientific staff
  • Experience in coordinating meetings and complex processes related to grants
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office package
  • A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree from a university or business school
  • Fluency in English, both orally and in writing
