As the R2R Reporting Manager NAM supporting the Finance & Accounting team, you will be trusted to lead General Accounting operations, oversee accurate reporting, and support financial compliance for Canada & Puerto Rico at our Mexico City location. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Leading the Canada & Puerto Rico General Accounting operations team (General Ledger, Revenue Deductions, Cost Accounting, and Fixed Assets).
  • Managing daily operations and supervising a team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, internal policies, and audit readiness (SOX).
  • Collaborating across departments to resolve discrepancies and support strategic financial reporting.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and promoting a high-performance culture.
     
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting roles, with exposure to shared services and multinational environments.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI and BlackLine is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and structured communicator.
  • Fluent in English; Portuguese is a plus.
